Ayuntamiento (City Hall)
Near the centre and the harbour you can find the city hall of Malaga (Ayuntamiento de Malaga) and its gardens. It was constructed in the 19th century and it offers a good view on the two fortresses Gibralfaro and Alcazaba which are both situated on the hill next to the city hall. The building style is Neo-Baroque and the garden is a good place to experience one of the more quiet places in the city. Although surrounded by roads, the garden is like an oasis of quietness in the city. The building itself stands as an impressive structure in contrast to the garden and the road around it. It is famous for the weddings that are being held in the building and in the garden.
