All year round, at the start of every month - intensive 4 week Spanish language courses are available to interested potential students. The courses have been organized for those who wish to study Spanish within the official university setting and also for those who are looking to learn the Spanish language for fun.

- Credits available: 4 Week course (80 hours) = 5 US Credits and 8 EU Credits.

- Students per class: 6-15 students per class.
- Minimum Age: 18.
- Levels: 6 different levels (Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency). Levels are based on the European Council's Common European Reference Framework for Language Learning and Teaching more

Who Are Intensive Spanish Courses For?
These courses are ideal for students who would like to significantly improve their Spanish language in a short span of time. The students who attend these courses often vary in background and age range.
The Intensive Spanish Course at UAB
Intensive courses run for 4 hours on a daily basis (a total of 20 hours each week). 2 hours of each day are dedicated to Spanish grammar; with emphasis on reading and oral comprehension, as well as oral expression.
There are 6 varying Spanish language class levels offered to the students. Each student will undergo an initial placement test to determine their spanish language level. After which, periodic and consistent evaluation will be implemented throughout the course. One on one tutoring sessions are also available with every course.
The UAB spanish language courses only have, at most, 15 students in each class. The small numbers are to ensure that each student receives adequate individual attention from the teacher. This structure has proven to be successful and efficient in enabling the students to make quick progress in the language.
Upon completion of the course, each student will receive an Attendance Certificate with the option to sit a UAB examination in order to obtain a Spanish Proficiency Certificate indicating their Spanish language level attained.
